ideosystem follows a radical open source approach. We are using open source software to do everything we need. Operating systems, server software, laptops, desktops, productivity suites - everything is open source. There is no closed-source software in our company.
ideosystem an experimental company, yet it is also an experiment in itself. Can a company run on open source software only? The experiment seems to be very successful so far, as we are still here.
We value the freedom, flexibility and efficiency that open source software brings. Lower up-front costs and fair business terms (no lock-in) are precious advantages. We built everything on that.
